I currently have three works in the Kings ARI studio show from 8 - 30 May 2009. This is a show where all the studio and committee members can contribute works. It makes for a really diverse and interesting exhibition! I’ve been at the Kings studio for coming up to three years.

I have set up a new section - Commissions to demonstrate how my artwork can be used in a design context. Apologies for some of the scrappier photos - I’m going to update them as I get hold of nicer shots. I hope that you enjoy it. ;)

Finally I’ve gotten around to updating my page… My exhibition at John Buckley will be a series of paper cuts inspired by my residency in India in February-May 2008. Here’s a snap I took in my studio this aftnoon of what you can expect… (this is just a quick snap on a piece of paper, the installation will be a lot snappier!).

Emma collaborated with Josh to make the cover art for his beautiful new album, ‘Chimneys Afire’ which was released today!

Emma van Leest has recently been allocated grants by the Visual Arts Board of the Australia Council and the Australia Cultural Fund to attend a 3-month residency in New Delhi, India.
Emma will be commencing her residency at the Sanskriti Kendra, south of Delhi, on 4 February 2008. She also hopes to travel to Sikkim in the north-east.
